stimulate weak inactive muscles and thus partially compensate for
the lack of exercise and inactivity resulting from illness or
injury. People with the following conditions have reported
that Therapeutic Massage has lessened or relived many of their
symptoms:

Certified professional massage sessions barely
above student clinic fees! Many of our Student Clinic clients find that
they can not get an appointment regularly because there are just not enough
spots for everyone, or when the school is on vacation during the summer
and over the Christmas holiday when there is no Student Clinic. This
Professional program will be staffed by massage therapists who are
certified graduates of Synergy Healing Arts Center & Massage School and our
clients will be able to call and make appointments any time and as many times
during the month as they wish, and all for a very competitive, affordable price.
The popularity of massage for preventive health
is making this possible! Research now shows that up to 90% of all disease
is directly related to STRESS! Research shows that individuals who get regular
massage are the HEALTHIEST in America!

(240) 423-2619
Certified Hypnotherapist. Certified with
the International Medical and Dental Hypnotherapy Association
Hypnotherapy helps you use your
subconscious mind to see your situation from a different perspective. The
new perspective affords you an opportunity to change things in your life that
you desire to change.
This use of the subconscious occurs
when your conscious critical thinking mind is bypassed, bypassing the doubts and
fears that inhibit the change you are seeking.
The bypass occurs when you use your
imagination. To open up communication with the subconscious, we encourage
you to use subconscious mental processes to imagine sights, sounds, smells,
tastes, tactile feelings, emotional feelings, stories, and memories.
During the process of creating these
imaginings the conscious mind is bypassed, bringing the subconscious mind to the
surface. With you subconscious mind engaged in this way you are more able
to instill desired behavior patterns, and create new habits to replace the old
habit you no longer desire. Creating these imaginings is the process by
which you can create a new you.
Imagination is the language of the
subconscious and it is powered by emotion. For example, you imagine
yourself as a non-smoker and you empower this image of yourself into being, with
the emotional desire to make it happen.
This is how the magic happens.
All hypnosis is self hypnosis. You cannot be made to do anything you do
not strongly want to do. Hypnotherapy is a self help modality and the
hypnotherapist is simply a guide

ALICIA SMITH, A.S.B., NCTMB, CMT (717) 357-3453
Alicia is the owner of ALICIA
SMITH Energy & Bodywork and is a nationally certified massage therapist,
Reiki practitioner and Brain therapist. She has a private practice at 304
York St in Gettysburg and now at Synergy Healing Arts Center. She
integrates and specializes in Therapeutic Massage, Reiki energy healing and
Brain Therapy – a craniosacral fascial therapy for Children, Adolescents and
Adults. Alicia has been a 2nd level Reiki practitioner since
2002 and a massage therapist since 2004 graduating from Pennsylvania
Myotherapy Institute in 2005. In 2008, she completed Brain Therapy training
with Dr. Barry Gillespie at the Cortiva Institute School of Muscle Therapy
at their King of Prussia, PA location. Most recently she finished leading
a 5 year Reiki ministry. The Reiki ministry began in 2005 as a monthly
community healing night at the Fairfield Mennonite Church. In August 2006,
Alicia branched out to start a community healing night at St. James Lutheran
Church in Gettysburg. The purpose of this free ministry is to educate the
public about holistic healing and energy practices and to give people a
chance to experience the benefits by offering free hands-on sessions.
Although the original Fairfield group no longer exists, the groups that
expanded from the original continue to be well attended in Gettysburg, PA,
Boiling Springs, PA and Hanover, PA.
Though currently most clients
are adults, it has long been an interest of hers to work with children who
have special needs such as learning issues, emotional issues, brain injuries
and abuse issues. There are many agencies dedicated to early intervention
but none integrating bodywork such as massage therapy, Reiki or Brain
Therapy. She believes it would be very valuable to have this work available
within school systems.
Reiki is a very gentle
hands-on holistic healing system used for thousands of years for healing the
body, mind and spirit. When our personal energy becomes blocked due to
stress or illness, Reiki provides a means to recharge, realign and rebalance
our energy flow promoting our natural healing process. It is very helpful
for stress and pain relief, anxiety, depression and grief issues and very
supportive for those dealing with cancer either for yourself or for loved
ones. www.healingyourchild.com
Brain Therapy was
developed by Dr. Barry Gillespie as a specific integration of craniosacral,
fascial, and TMJ-dental bodywork therapies to support brain function.
Treatment involves the gentle release of the soft tissue structures that
surround the brain and attach to the sacrum. The therapist can help the
body to release these soft tissues naturally without pain, drugs or surgery
and restore normal brain motion and function. This is helpful for chronic
illnesses, pain and tightness, headaches, back pain, sports injuries, head
injuries, learning issues, physical and emotional issues. www.braintherapy.com
