KEITH A. SCHAEFFER MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP FUND - 9/25/85 TO 6/29/02

Beloved son of Margie and Craig Schaeffer, who passed from complications of diabetes and leukemia

This fund will assist students and Nationally Certified Alumni of the Synergy Healing Arts Center and Massage School with books, equipment, supplies or child care expenses while studying massage therapy for the basic 624 hour program or continuing education.  It will be awarded annually based on continuing education. The requirements are as follows:

1.  Show a financial need for assistance

2.  Be a current Synergy student in good standing or a Synergy Graduate

3.  Completion of at least 300 of 624 hours of study by award date of July 19, 2008

4.  Grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale

5.  Minimum 90% attendance

  6.  Demonstration of compliance with the Synergy Mission Statement

  7.  Complete a 300 word essay entitled: "What I believe the future of massage therapy will be in the field of medical treatment"

  8.  Turn in the completed application and attach a copy of NCBTM(B) certificate.

This application and essay will be reviewed by the advisory board members.  Applicants will be voted upon and chosen at the annual June advisory board meeting, and the award will be given at a ceremony held on July 19th at 2 p.m. at the annual Synergy Open House.
