Rep. Keith McCall

McCall bill to protect Professional Massage Therapists passes state House – your help is needed to get Senate approval

Dear Friends,

We did it!

Working together, we were able to get House Bill 2499 approved by the House (by a 193-5 margin, too). It was a long journey, but it’s a fight we needed to win. Currently, we’re one of just 11 states that doesn’t regulate or license massage therapists and, as a result, trained and reputable therapists like you are at the mercy of dishonest, unethical people who call themselves "therapists" but give the entire industry a bad name.

Today’s Allentown Morning Call quoted the words of a Lehigh Valley massage therapist talking about the bill: “Hallelujah!” I can’t help but agree. You can read the article by clicking here, or just go to my Web site to find out the details

The bill passed the House, but there is still more work to be done! Please click here to find out the name and contact information of your State Senator and let him or her know that your industry still needs protection, and that House Bill 2499 needs to be brought up for a vote as soon as possible.

Thanks again for your support!
